Infrared scanning provides a unique opportunity to look 'inside' power system equipment while it is operating and identifies problem areas (equipment running at excessive temperatures) before an outage occurs.

  • Mikron Infrared offers the new Mikron M7800 a lightweight, high performance, feature-packed handheld infrared camera with a visible light camera and laser pointer built right in. Besides being easy-to-use and affordable, the imager's exceptional resolution (320x240 UFPA detector) and wide temperature range (-40oC to 500oC) set it apart. Here are just a few features you can expect: rugged, ergonomic design for one-handed point and shoot operation; on-board digital visual recording and storage for up to 1,300 images; multi-spot temperature measurement with emissitivity settings; four moveable sport meters; and optional thermal imaging software for comprehensive image analysis and report generation.

  • From Mikron, the very economical Mikron M7816 is a fully radiometric, hand-held infrared imager that can be used for PPM applications. The unit has a 160X120 resolution UFPA detector and wide temperature range of -40oC to 500oC. Report writing MikroSpec software is included. With a built-in laser pointer and articulating 3.5" LCD screen, the M7816 is easy to use and weighs just under three pounds with the battery The affordable NEW Mikron M7816DV also offers DualVision where the imager takes a thermal image, a visual image, and has the ability to display the thermal image over top of the visual image allowing operators to pinpoint problem quickly.

  • Just when you thought it couldn't get any better, Mikron offers the Mikron M7600 PRO a fully radiometric thermal imager with DualVision that shoots a thermal image, a visual image, and has the ability to display the thermal image over top of the visual image allowing operators to pinpoint problem areas faster than ever. The M7600 PRO offers a high resolution 320X240 UFPA detector and a temperature range of -40oC to 2000oC. The unit has viewfinder and a 3.5" articulating LCD; automatic level, gain and focus; multi-spot temperature measurement; and on-board digital visual/voice recording capabilities.

  • Designed for use with Mikron thermal imagers the Mikron SpyGlass lens and view ports allow Mikron camera users to see inside energized electrical cabinets while performing thermal scans in order to be NFPA 70E compliant and to avoid arc flash hazards. The unique design of the wide-angle SpyGlass allows a 53oH X 40oV view through a small 0.5" diameter view port opening without a metal screen barrier. Readings through the view port are accurate. UL approved. Mikron has NFPA 70E starter kits that include an infrared camera, SpyGlass lens, and viewports for just $13,000. Contact us for details.

  • Global Technologies' infrared viewing windows simplify infrared scans of electrical equipment and reduce arc flash hazard risks, because thermal scans can be completed without exposure to live electrical components. Installing viewing windows in electrical panels allows operators to reduce the time, cost, and danger associated with infrared scans. For use with all thermal imagers. UL approved.
